SAFEGUARDING iNFORMATION FOR pUPILS
At Rhydyfro Primary School, the wellbeing, safety and happiness of every pupil is at the heart of everything we do. All staff are committed to supporting children with any worries or concerns they may have, and we pride ourselves on offering a high standard of care throughout the school.
Our staff receive regular training to ensure they can provide effective support in areas such as safeguarding, wellbeing, first aid and emergency procedures. To help pupils easily identify who they can speak to, clear and child‑friendly posters are displayed around the school. These posters highlight:
- Members of staff who can help with Safeguarding concerns
- Qualified First Aiders
- Fire Marshals and staff responsible in the event of an emergency
The posters displayed across the school can be viewed below:

Internet Safety
We are dedicated to keeping each other safe. As a school we want to ensure that the education we provide will enable the children to develop valuable lifelong skills. We recognise the internet is an essential element in the 21st century for education, business and social interaction. Our school has a duty to provide students with safe, quality internet access as part of their learning experience.

Parents play a vital role in the education of their child. Parents will be encouraged to take an active part in the education of their children. It is vitally important that parents and staff work in partnership to ensure that each child makes the best of his or her opportunities. Parents and friends are encouraged to come into school and work alongside teachers. In all our activities, we will endeavour to work as a learning community, in which each member will feel valued, confident and respected.
"The school creates a happy and safe environment in which all pupils can thrive"
